COPD - How to cope naturally

I was diagnosed with early stage COPD a year ago. Not surprising since I smoked over 40 years plus lived with a smoker for 22 years.  I quit in 1995, thankfully and had read that the lungs can heal in a short period of time. Probably true but age has a way of lessening vital functions.

Reading various websites about coping with COPD, I'm following my Dr's advice and doing all I can to keep it from getting worse.

I've learned a few things reading those websites and am implementing them, like humidifying my rooms, keeping them dust free and believe it or not, exercise is helpful.

Breathing through pursed lips is recommended. Pulmonary therapists show patients how to do this.

There are inhalers your Dr. can prescribe for COPD. Also over the counter products.

If you or someone you know has COPD learn how to cope with it and maybe slow the progress.  That's what I'm doing.
